"Variatio" by Sp|n

"Variatio" is an interactive/performative installation that aims to raise awareness of the impact of human activities on our environment (acoustic and atmospheric pollution, destruction of biomass, etc.). It is through the collection of Open Source API data (meteorological, migratory flow, air quality...) present on the internet and real-time experimentation (conversion of electromagnetic variations of plants, humidity rate into music and visual...) that this project tends to awaken the curiosity of the participants.
Sp|n is a digital art collective founded by Skander Cherif and Oussama Menchaoui in 2022, two sound engineers and sound designers. Their work explores and experiments with new technologies through the use of various mediums (sound, video, programming...) to question and raise awareness of our relationship to our environment. Far from being self-proclaimed "Artists", Sp|n is above all the fusion between two passionate entities.
