20 Years of Culture Resource, A Key Actor and An Open Call!

We are delighted to announce that to mark its 20th anniversary, Culture Resource-Al Mawred is launching an open call for artists and cultural regional organisations : "Reclaiming Our Commons: A Proposal for Cultural Collaboration Across the Arab Region".
As Culture Resource-Al Mawred is approaching its 20th anniversary, this presents an opportunity to reflect and experiment within the sector, in the hope of developing new forms of cultural solidarity in the Arab region and the world, drawing upon connections and support networks inside and outside of the region while the Israeli occupation continues its atrocities in Gaza, amounting to Genocide, and attacks on Palestine and Lebanon.
“Reclaiming Our Commons” is a call to contribute to building a participatory creative process addressed to initiatives, cooperatives, independent cultural and artistic organisations, as well as artists and cultural actors. It seeks to support artistic and cultural projects across diverse artistic and interdisciplinary domains, provided they adopt cooperative, participatory, and/or commons-based approaches, whether at the project development level, project ownership, project interpretations and outputs, or project revenues.
Culture Resource-Al Mawred is one of L'Art Rue's pertinent partners, particularly in international cooperation projects, and a key player in the region. It was one of the first organisations to provide structural support to L'Art Rue.
To mark this important milestone, L'Art Rue will be supporting the production of an artistic project developed as part of these 20 years, and selected through the call that is launched for this occasion: Reclaiming Our Commons: A Proposal for Cultural Collaboration Across the Arab Region.
