European Union as part of the “Deconstructing Violence through Art” project.
This visual arts workshop for children led by the architect and visual artist Chawki Lahmar is based on a series of exercises inspired by the theme of the medina.
It is broken down into several parts: abstracting motifs from glazed pottery reproduced at different scales and playing with colors (flat, camaieu, primary colors, secondary, complementary, etc.); stenciled pattern details; volumes by studying the architecture of the medina (its scales and proportions); the historic headquarters of L'Art Rue to study how depth is at play.
A complete one-week program to dive into the world of Art.
