The Wake, a three-channel video installation, initiated during a research residency between Port-au-Prince (Haïti) and Les Ateliers Medicis in Clichy-Montfermeil (France) in 2019. Night has fallen on a burning world. Demonstrations, earthquakes, forest fires, fire is everywhere.

Fire of struggles and pain, rebirth and chaos. Amidst the flames, a wandering community dreams of flight, travel and alliances between the diasporas of the world. The Living and the Dead Ensemble transforms this long night into a place of mourning, struggle and rebirth, echoing the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement.
